What it is – hard water contains calcium and magnesium minerals which bond with everything they touch leaving “limescale” in their wake.

Iron
What it is – Iron can come in a couple of different forms including dissolved and non-dissolved. Both of these can leave red/orange stains on your sinks, tubs, and toilets and can be extremely hard to remove. Iron can also cause bacteria to grow and let off an unpleasant smell.
Chlorine
What it is – Chlorine is a chemical used by municipal & local water treatment plants to reduce harmful bacteria in the water supply. While this sounds good, chlorine and chloramines can cause a bacteria of their own to grow called trihalomethanes (TTHM) which is quite unsafe to drink or bathe in.
Dirt & Sediment
What it is – dirt & sediment is just as it sounds. This is typically most common in well water or surface water that hasn’t gone through a treatment facility.
Treatment – Dirt and sediment are found in almost all water supplies and will decrease the efficiency and lifespan of your appliances. For example, sediment in a water heater can prevent the heat from transferring to the water in the tank once sediment has built up in the bottom. They showed up the next day as I had well issues and... chatted with Jim the owner for a bit and he tested our well water and advised us that it was contaminated and not worth the money to clean it up and not only did he not try to sell us any equipment but he also spent a good hour advising us as to who he recommends as well drillers etc. He went above and beyond to be helpful to us and can't compliment Eco enough for their true professional.read more

Helpful and friendly staff.After years of dealing with... Eco I just purchased a water softener from them and had it installed. Talk about same day service! Not to mislead you but I... called in the morning to book an appointment to have someone come and check the hose for the reverse osmosis. Kathy offered to see if Jim could stop by on his way back to Belleville. Jim arrived, fixed my leak etc. Superb all round customer service ... very reliable, respectable, knowledgable and professional experience that we would highly recommend!! Jim, especially, thank you for taking the time and making... the effort to help me understand my systems and identify the trouble spots.Your explanation of the system functions and design clarified it for me. After our call, I was able to identify and fix the trouble as soon as I got home.I went to Home Hardware and bought their last available Pump Controller, took it home, checked the water level with a landscaping tape measure and replaced the unit just as you described by just unplugging and replacing the capacitor module. Worked immediately.All I can say is thanks. You saved me money and helped me get back to operational status while learning a great deal about our systems.read more

Had a RO system installed early in the new year. A fantastic water system and the customer service is the... best. My old water system was such a source of stress for me. Jim from Eco Water came right away to talk about getting a new water system when I called. He spent lots of time with me helping me understand (I'm new to the country). And the guys that installed the system went above and beyond what I had asked them to do. My new system works so smoothly.
