Know what’s in your water immediately with fast & accurate results with our free basic water test – see if you qualify!
EcoWater Belleville offers free basic water testing with fast, accurate results in most local areas. Enter your zip code to see if you qualify for free water testing!
We do offer free water testing in the customer’s home but may need to refer them to a lab for more in-depth testing, we might also advise them to do the bacteria test at the local health units.

Common Local Water Contaminants

Hardness Minerals
What it is – hard water contains calcium and magnesium minerals which bond with everything they touch leaving “limescale” in their wake. Treatment – Our guaranteed water softener provides the best option for soft water on the market. It improves the water throughout your entire home while protecting your appliances and fixtures.
Iron

What it is – Iron can come in a couple of different forms including dissolved and non-dissolved. Both of these can leave red/orange stains on your sinks, tubs, and toilets and can be extremely hard to remove. Iron can also cause bacteria to grow and let off an unpleasant smell.

Chlorine

What it is – Chlorine is a chemical used by municipal & local water treatment plants to reduce harmful bacteria in the water supply. While this sounds good, chlorine and chloramines can cause a bacteria of their own to grow called trihalomethanes (TTHM) which is quite unsafe to drink or bathe in.

Dirt & Sediment
What it is – dirt & sediment is just as it sounds. This is typically most common in well water or surface water that hasn’t gone through a treatment facility. Treatment – Dirt and sediment are found in almost all water supplies and will decrease the efficiency and lifespan of your appliances. For example, sediment in a water heater can prevent the heat from transferring to the water in the tank once sediment has built up in the bottom. Our whole house filtration system can help with this problem.
Other Contaminants

What they are – common contaminants in our area can include nitrates, lead, arsenic, pharmaceuticals, and more. These are not included in the free water test, however, we do offer full laboratory testing at an affordable price.

Treatment – Protecting the water in your home is important, however ensuring the purity of the water you are putting in your body is even more crucial. Our Reverse Osmosis drinking water system will give you peace of mind that your drinking water is healthy, and you are going to fall in love with this drinking water system that can provide up to 189 liters per day of delicious water.

They showed up the next day as I had well issues and... chatted with Jim the owner for a bit and he tested our well water and advised us that it was contaminated and not worth the money to clean it up and not only did he not try to sell us any equipment but he also spent a good hour advising us as to who he recommends as well drillers etc. He went above and beyond to be helpful to us and can't compliment Eco enough for their true professional.read more

Jim came to my house and explained everything in detail and left me with no questions. The install was fast and the installers were really kind and respectful of my property. They answered all my questions.Anyone going to anyone else for anything related to water would be like going to a Boat Captain looking for a lesson in flying! Don’t be that person! Ask Eco!read more

I reached out about a very specific problem and had a call... and visit same day - no cost!!Cathy was so lovely and helpful on the phone and Jim was a wealth of knowledge upon arrival. He made recommendations for a ‘sit’ solution and let me know to reach out again if it didn’t result in a fix. This is who I should have called 2 years ago. Jim, especially, thank you for taking the time and making... the effort to help me understand my systems and identify the trouble spots.Your explanation of the system functions and design clarified it for me. After our call, I was able to identify and fix the trouble as soon as I got home.I went to Home Hardware and bought their last available Pump Controller, took it home, checked the water level with a landscaping tape measure and replaced the unit just as you described by just unplugging and replacing the capacitor module. Worked immediately. All I can say is thanks. You saved me money and helped me get back to operational status while learning a great deal about our systems.read more

Customer Service at its best...Jim at Ecowater was above... that, I do have some water system problems at my house and Jim came to take a look but also found a core problem with my Well that needs to be addressed before hand. Jim, instead of selling me stuff to "make it work" told me to look after that first then to call him back...now that is someone caring for the customer...will be calling him for sure...thank you Jimread more

A fantastic water system and the customer service is the... best. My old water system was such a source of stress for me. Jim from Eco Water came right away to talk about getting a new water system when I called. He spent lots of time with me helping me understand (I'm new to the country). And the guys that installed the system went above and beyond what I had asked them to do. My new system works so smoothly. It's quiet, the water tastes amazing, its cleaner water then I ever had (all the white scum is gone). Knowing that I can phone eco water with any problems, and they will answer right away to help problem solve, is such a relief. It also saves on un-needed service calls. Highly recommend.read more
